A lesson time is a firm appointment. If a student is unable to come for a lesson, they are required to notify the teacher as early as possible. Prompt and regular arrival to class is recommended. Students should try to avoid unexcused lesson absence as missed classes may slow down the progress of the student and will not be repeated.
Students are to print out the registration form on the home page, fill, attach a passport and come along with it on the first day of resumption.
All voice students are to come to class with their text books - SING LIKE A SUPERSTAR, a pen, notebook, metronome, voice recorder or camcorder. All other students are required to come with their relevant texts books and materials as provided/ recommended by the school.
Students are advised to keep records of practice time, including dates, exercises, study songs, performances, diction etc. Topics for voice classes should also be recorded and notes are to be taken as the class runs its course.
In order to make sufficient progress as a student and maintain vocal fitness, voice students are expected to practice daily at a rate of 1-2 hours a day. Practice activities may include some or all of the following: singing warm-up and vocal exercises with the CD provided by the teacher, reading lesson notes and listening to class recordings, learning assigned songs, rehearsal with accompaniment, translating texts of songs, diction study etc.
